Hermilo Hernandez Noyola

Hermilo Hernandez Noyola is a Senior Nuclear Engineer at Oak Ridge National Laboratory. He supports radioisotope production efforts through particle target design and implementation, and develops computational tools to automate, evaluate, and optimize target designs. He has more than 15 years of experience in neutronics, nuclear reactor physics, and software development for scientific and engineering applications, with expertise in Monte Carlo and deterministic transport methods. His work also includes applying data science, machine learning and AI techniques to scientific and engineering challenges, including automation, high-throughput analytics, and image-based analysis. Hernandez earned a Ph.D. in Nuclear Engineering (Reactor Physics) from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, and has authored peer-reviewed publications spanning nuclear engineering and computational modeling.
