Allison C. Peacock

Allison Peacock is a technical and operational leader with nearly 15 years of experience in radioisotope production at Oak Ridge National Laboratory and across the DOE complex. She currently serves as Section Head for the Medical and Industrial Isotope Processing Section (MIIPS), where she leads multiple groups responsible for medical and industrial isotope manufacturing and processing operations. In this role, she provides leadership for workforce and operational coordination, production prioritization, disciplined operations, continuous improvement, and the safe and reliable delivery of radioisotope products. She is transitioning to serve as Section Head for REDC Isotope Processing, where she will lead isotope processing operations supporting ORNL’s californium-252 and plutonium-238 production missions.

Prior to becoming Section Head, Allison served as Group Lead for Building 4501 Operations beginning in 2022. She led a diverse portfolio of radioisotope production and dispensing activities, including accelerator-produced Ac-225, W-188, Ra-224/Pb-212 generators, Th-229, Tc-99, Ni-63, Se-75, and Ba-133. Her leadership focused on safe and reliable mission delivery, product quality, operational excellence, continuous improvement, and the development and mentorship of staff.

Allison first came to ORNL as a student in 2012, completed a post-bachelor research appointment beginning in 2014, and joined ORNL as an isotope production technical professional in 2015. From 2021 to 2022, she served as Thorium Purification Manager for Isotek Systems LLC, where she led Th-229 purification operations and processing readiness in a Hazard Category 3 nuclear facility before returning to ORNL in an operational leadership role.

Allison holds a Master of Science in Industrial Engineering with a Systems Engineering concentration from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, and a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from East Tennessee State University
