Chris B. Brewer

Strategic Program Manager for HPC/AI/QC

Chris Brewer serves as the Strategic Programs Manager for High-Performance Computing (HPC) Initiatives within the Computing and Computational Sciences Directorate (CCSD) at Oak Ridge National Laboratory. With over 35 years of experience, he has dedicated his career to designing, engineering, and delivering critical research and development capabilities for the Department of Defense (DoD) and Intelligence Community (IC).

In his current role, he supports the Chief Operating Officer and Associate Laboratory Director in planning and executing leadership-class computing strategy in HPC, Quantum Computing, and Artificial Intelligence. He provides laboratory wide strategic planning support to the Lab Director’s Office on behalf of CCSD.

Chris resides in Lenoir City, Tennessee, with his husband, Dr. Daniel N. Brewer, a retired Army biochemist. Outside of his professional interests in technology, he enjoys hiking, gardening, folk music, and role-playing games such as Dungeons and Dragons.
