Justin L. West

Dr. Justin West is an R&D Associate Staff member in the Advanced Machining & Machine Tool Research group, located at ORNL’s Manufacturing Demonstration Facility. He has a background in mechanical design and traditional manufacturing, precision engineering and design, and additive and hybrid manufacturing. He joined ORNL in 2019 and completed his doctoral degree at the University of Tennessee in 2023. His research interests include next generation machine tool design, modeling of hybrid manufacturing processes, and distortion reduction in additive manufacturing.
