Dr. Kellis Kincaid is a staff researcher for the Thermal Hydraulics group, within the Nuclear Energy and Fuel Cycle Division at Oak Ridge National Laboratory. Since entering the world of computational fluid dynamics (CFD), he has accumulated years of expertise in deploying physically accurate models with existing packages, and accrued significant experience developing new code within open-source CFD frameworks, such as OpenFOAM. Areas of expertise include aerodynamics modeling for renewable energy, multi-physics problems such as fluid-structure interaction, additive manufacturing (AM), and heat and mass transfer. At ORNL, he works on a variety of problems, including carbon capture and sequestration (CCS), nuclear fuel handling, and a variety of applied AM projects.
