Mohammad Khalid

Mohammad Khalid is a Postdoctoral Research Associate in the Grid Systems Architecture Group at Oak Ridge National Laboratory. His research focuses on utility scale microgrids, inverter dominated power systems, grid forming control, distributed energy resource integration, and hardware in the loop validation. He develops advanced control, protection, and real-time simulation frameworks to improve resilience, reliability, and operational flexibility of future electric grids. His work bridges fundamental research, laboratory scale validation, and utility scale deployment of emerging grid technologies.
