Ramon Peruchi Pacheco da Silva

Ramon Peruchi Pacheco da Silva serves as a Postdoctoral Research Associate for the Manufacturing Energy Efficiency Research & Analysis (MEERA) Group in the Manufacturing Science Division (MSD) at the Oak Ridge National Laboratory (ORNL).Ramon earned his Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Alabama (UA), where he served as a lead student at the Alabama Industrial Training and Assessment Center (AITAC) and conducted applied heat transfer research for energy efficiency. He holds a master’s degree in mechanical engineering from the Federal University of Santa Catarina (Brazil) and a bachelor’s degree in Naval Engineering, with experience in heat exchangers for the oil and gas industry. At ORNL, Ramon works with Energy Intensive Industries, Industrial Onsite Energy, the Better Plants program, and the Strategic Analysis group, focusing on making U.S. manufacturers more globally competitive and energy efficient. His research interests include thermal systems, energy efficiency, and applied heat transfer.
