Siddharth Singh is a Postdoctoral Research Associate at the Robotics Automation and Controls group within the Manufacturing Demonstration Facility (MDF) at the Oak Ridge National Lab. His research emphasizes on robotic learning and planning especially focusing on manufacturing applications and process.
Prior to joining ORNL, he earned his Ph.D. from the University of Virginia, M.S.E. from the University of Pennsylvania, and finished his B.E. from NSIT, University of Delhi. Siddharth’s research lies on the confluence of controls, learning and optimization. The primary focus of his research is to improve generalizability and build adaptive, safety-aware robotic systems for real-world deployment. His work focuses on task and motion planning, robotic learning, and multi-agent autonomy, with applications in smart manufacturing, industrial robotics, and human-robot collaboration. He has led and contributed to projects spanning multi-manipulator motion planning, learning from demonstration, high-resolution robotic 3D reconstruction, and autonomous inspection systems.
