I am leading several projects with industry, national labs, and academia members related to Electromagnetic Transient (EMT) Simulations (creating a portfolio of research projects on EMT at ORNL). I received my Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in electrical engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology Madras, Chennai, India, in 2010, and the Ph.D. degree in electrical engineering from Purdue University, West Lafayette, IN, USA, in 2015. My main research interests include applied mathematics for different power electronics and power systems applications like EMT modeling and simulation algorithms, optimal control, and design of power electronics in various applications such as different generation resources, HVdc systems, high-power drives, microgrids, power electronic loads, among others.
