Travis Gaddes is senior welding technician for the Materials Joining Group where he specializes in gas tungsten arc welding, electron beam welding, mechanized and hand held laser welding, submerged arc welding, brazing, as well as orbital welding. He has spent the last year not only welding for different projects within the group but also welding for a variety of different departments withing the lab assisting them with their welding needs. He has welded a wide variety of different metals and precious metals including stainless, gold, silver, titanium, tantalum, copper, molybdenum, iridium, as well as many others. He has had the opportunity to become a precious metals custodian where he keeps inventory of all the precious metals within the group. He is also apart of the emergency response squad and is CPR certified.
