Trystan Bordeau is an Environmental Compliance Representative in the Environmental Protection Services Division at Oak Ridge National Laboratory (ORNL). In this role, he provides regulatory guidance on RCRA, CWA, and CAA compliance in support of the Fusion & Fission Energy and Science Directorate. Additionally, he acts as the Natural Resources Project Coordinator for all Laboratory Modernization Division (LMD) projects. He previously served as a Senior Environmental Toxicology Technician in the Environmental Sciences Division, where he conducted NPDES permit compliance testing for both ORNL and Y-12 facilities.
He earned his B.S. in Geology and Environmental Studies from the University of Tennessee – Knoxville and is currently pursuing a Master of Health Science degree with a concentration in One Health from the University of Florida. His research experience spans diverse projects, including the prevalence of invasive species in the United States, plant–pollinator interactions, sustainable agriculture, selective wheat and corn breeding, and environmental toxicology. He has also contributed to the SPRUCE project here at ORNL.
Outside of work, Trystan enjoys cheering on Tennessee athletics, playing golf, hiking with his wife and dog, and exploring local breweries across East Tennessee.
