Dr. Vanshika Singh is a Research Associate Staff Scientist in the Disruptive Manufacturing Systems Development Group in Manufacturing Science Division. She works on development of large-scale metal additive manufacturing processes. She has experience of structural design (computational and experimental), gas turbine architecture, topology optimization, experimental heat transfer and cooling channel design. Additionally, she has broad experience of working with small scale fine resolution metal additive manufacturing (AM) processes to large-scale AM processes (wire-arc AM).
Dr. Singh has a Ph.D. from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville in collaboration with Oak Ridge National Laboratory (Manufacturing Science Division). Her faculty advisors were Dr. Michael M. Kirka and Prof. Sudarsanam Suresh Babu. She has a Bachelor of Technology in Mechanical and Automation Engineering from Indira Gandhi Institute of Technology, New Delhi, IN. Additionally, she has a full-time work experience with General Electric Aerospace where she finished a three-year leadership program. During her graduate studies, she has two accepted peer-reviewed journal paper, one under-review paper, one provisional patent, secured first-runner up in Blue Sky Competition by 49th NAMRC conference, and NSF student grant recipient for MPIF 2021 & 2022.
