Yiqing Hao is a neutron scattering instrument scientist for the HB-3A DEMAND Single Crystal Diffractometer at the High Flux Isotope Reactor (HFIR) within the Neutron Scattering Division. His research focuses on the magnetic and structural properties of quantum materials, including topological magnets, magnetoelectric materials, superconductors, and frustrated magnets. He utilizes polarized and non-polarized single-crystal neutron scattering to investigate magnetic phenomena in these systems. He is also involved in developing advanced data-analysis algorithms, including machine learning methods, to improve the efficiency and capabilities of neutron diffraction instruments.
