Yuxuan Zhang

Yuxuan Zhang is a neutron imaging scientist and the point-of-contact of the MARS beamline (CG-1D) at the High Flux Isotope Reactor (HFIR). 

He joined ORNL in 2017 as a Postdoctoral Research Associate focused on developing time-of-flight neutron imaging (at the Spallation Neutron Source) and its application in characterizing nuclear fuel materials. In 2019, he started as an instrument scientist in the Neutron Sciences Directorate. His research focused on applying advanced imaging techniques in the fields of materials science (such as energy storage material, advanced nuclear fuel, and additive manufacturing).
