Ashish Gautam

He is currently a Research Scientist in the Computer Science and Mathematics division at the Oak Ridge National Laboratory. In October 2021, he earned his Ph.D. from the Department of Electrical Engineering and Information Systems at the University of Tokyo, Japan. Subsequently, he continued there as a project researcher in the Laboratory for Neuromimetic Systems until September 2023. His research interests encompass the exploration of learning mechanisms in the brain to develop biologically plausible learning rules for neuromorphic chips and the design of low-power and compact neuromorphic circuits using CMOS and novel non-volatile memory devices.
