Sabine M. Neumayer

Sabine M. Neumayer is an R&D staff scientist in the Functional Atomic Force Microscopy Group at the Center for Nanophase Materials Sciences. She joined ORNL in 2018 as a postdoctoral researcher and became a staff member in 2021. Her research focuses on the micro- and nanoscale functional properties of materials for neuromorphic systems, microelectronics, information storage and energy applications. She is an expert in scanning probe microscopy techniques for the local characterization of electronic, dielectric, ionic, electromechanical, and mechanical properties of functional materials.

Sabine M. Neumayer received her PhD in Physics from University College Dublin (Ireland) in 2016 and holds BSc and MSc degrees in Technical Physics from Graz University of Technology (Austria).
