Fred A. List III

Fred List is a Senior Research Staff member in the Manufacturing Science Division of ORNL.  His interests span a broad range of subjects including the physics and chemistry of surfaces and thin films, high temperature superconductivity, and additive manufacturing.  Throughout his 40+ year career at ORNL, he has enjoyed learning from and mentoring other staff members and students.  He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Applied and Engineering Physics and a Doctor of Philosophy degree in Materials Science and Physics from Cornell University.
